After just 12 hours another 130 votes and it now stands 72% No - 28% Yes. Hooray for democracy.
I would imagine that they got their colleagues and mates to vote at the begining, with luck they will have lost the will to check daily so let's see what the next 24 hours brings ( bet they take it down ).

88% - No, 2102 votes - hahahaha!!

The Daily Mash has it right - "The correct daily amount of alcohol is me drinking whatever the fuck I like!"

Welcome to the party Gigits; while the luvvies have apoplexies about Griffiths on telly the vote leaps to 4,000+, 94% No!

Stupid fucks at Alcohol Concern Scotland probably stopped checking regularly shortly after they and their mates had voted in the approved way.

I want that T-Shirt.

You may be winning Banned, but the millions of people who have and will have, a drink problem are not. All so that you can buy Cider cheaper than water. Alcohol is a drug which costs the NHS, millions. It's ok to say that it won't affect you, that's what I thought to my detriment. Sorry to sound so serious on this subject, I would have had the same attitude as you a fdew years ago but sometimes it is worthwhile taking a step back and considering the proposal properly. 40p per unit won't affect the price of most "grown up drinks" only the shite that attracts the young and poor.

DL, thanks for that, I too had problems with the booze for some years; price though was not a contributing factor. Alcohol provides the taxman with £millions more than it costs the NHS.

They are just using it as control freakery in my view.

95% No now btw.

I'm over it too, thank fuck, but i now see it for the evil it is, although I have a few pints now and again.

DL. I am aware of a number of locals with drink problems, many are quite wealthy and the only thing that threatens their supply is the possibilty of booze outlets barring them for misbehaviour. Hiking prices at the lower end will do nothing to 'help' them but will penalise the poorest in the land who, like you, wish to have a few pints now and again.

What concerns me Banned and I'm trying not to sound like a fucking old killjoy is the young. I did it to and I ended up with problems. I see youngsters pished out their heads every fri+sat+sun nights and if there a Scottish game on the telly on a Sunday, it's early dark by 3 o'Clock. Cheap shite drink like cider is so cheap they are getting pished all the time. I know the young boys next door to me have had trouble with drink. One is an alky at 22 and has already written off his car while pished and fucking nearly killed himself. The drunkest I ever got was drinking cheap cider, ( I was going through a slight financial crisis at the time), and mixing it with vodka, I was fucking blitzed and that was 6 years ago going to the semi-final of the League Cup game against Hibs, supporting Ayr. I didn't see the game and I was so pished I ended up in the Victorian Hospital as an altenative to getting lifted by the Police and getting a criminal record. This coming from someone who could down a litre of vodka at a session and did so most nights after work. So my fear is that it's too cheap and weans are getting hooked and damaging their health as I have damaged mine because although my liver drinks for Scotland, I have a problem with my right foot called Charcot's disease which stops me driving and walking properly and therefore working.

AQnyway that's my tale of woe. Fucking great the clocks have gone back 1 hour, so one more hour of righting this shite!
