"Campaigners" admit defeat in their efforts to mindfuck women into not using bottled milk for their newborns. Their promotion of "Breast Is Best" has backfired in that women who see the phrase assume that breast feeding is some sort of new age modern fandangle and that they would rather do the normal, standard thing which must therefore be bottle/formula feeding, LOLs; had to laught at that one.
UK Telegraph, Breast Is Best
"Lesley Backhouse, chair of The Breastfeeding Network, has written to the Department of Health, calling for a change of approach.
''We've got to knock breastfeeding off this pedestal,'' she said.
''It seems to play straight into the formula manufacturer's hands by encouraging the view that formula is the normal way to feed a baby"
A Department of Health spokesman said in a statement that ''breast is best'' was not its slogan (ROTFL).

Cheers banned. I've tacked the Breast is Best slogan onto my blog header. Because I agree with it. Wholeheartedly ;-)
I have no view on which might be best CS, it is the backfiring of their campaign that amused me.
I've always been partial to breast feeding myself. It comes in such cute containers too.
Hi Woodie, I tried to put a couple of tasteful tittie pics in this piece but Blogger.com is misbehaving at this time.
I"m sure you guys love that slogan.
These silly health depts. always screw things up.
Here's an idea - make formula only available by prescription and make it super expensive - that way only the peasants on benefits would be able to access it.
"It's crucial that mothers get the support they need to make breastfeeding a success for them and their baby."
Where do I apply for this support role?
Ah Bunni, it is not the public health department screwing it up, for a change, but self appointed "Campaigners".
Great idea Scunnert but, as above, I take no position on the issue, just delight in their discomfort.
microdave,'Dept. Of Ed Balls Families Schools & Children', oops no, that's gone.
I didn't mean THAT kind of support....
