Banned, I know little of what your smoking ban consists of but I agree.

The reason is that here in the State of Michigan,USA they just enacted a smoking ban in indoor public places such as; workplace (more than 1),bars/salonns (pubs), resturants and alike.

On it's face (healthcare) it may seem logical (not to me) but at the same time of a recession the state has effectively denied itself needed tax revenue from the purchase of tobacco as there are now less sales.

Besides the obvious unconstitutional restriction of freedom we did enjoy, this is just plain stupid.

A smoking ban means it is against the law to use or permit a legal product on 'private' property

Chistopher, the smoking ban is total in any 'imdoor' space that might be called a workplace, it applies even to bus stops with shelters. It was introduced by control freak socialists and the point of the above suggestions about which 'pointless laws' should be cancelled by the new Government is that they wont.

Likewse Barking, this exercise is no more than phoney libertyness.

Ta anon.

John I have no wish to give up smoking thank you. What I would be happy with is 'permission' to establish smoking pubs to which non smokers are not invited.
