That'll be the Met Office that is saying 2010 will be the second warmest year on record, despite the extended freezy winter, a summer that was only slightly less shite than the previous three and now snow on local hills that have not seen it in November for twenty years.

We now know that "global warming" fear mongering is nothing more than a ruse to "spread the wealth around". Instead of rationing economic growth in the rich world, I think the rationing should be in the paychecks of these egg head scientists.
Hi TCL, more like gathering the wealth up into a very few hands and what better way than to ration what we are allowed to spend so that we have lots of cash but nothing to spend it on.
When visiting the former communist dictatorships of eastern Europe they required you to exchange a fixed sum of money per day of your visas validity. Can't remember how much but at todays values let's say £100 or $100.
So they have already got your £/$500 in exchange for which you got a large quantity of Lechs or Zlottys or Roubles but, given that your accomodation and travel are pre-paid there was very little for you to spend it on.
Being workers paradises restaurants and public transport were incredibly cheap but there is only so much bread you can eat or beer drunk. Their special Tourist Shops (off limits to locals) were generally full of shoddy imitations of what you could buy back home, except for the vodka, and the plum brandy which were tops.
In effect rationing by shortages and guess what, you were not allowed to take your change home, they demanded their Zlotys and Roubles back, no refund.
Net effect you come to despise the local currency and give it away to strangers rather than surrender it at the border.
The same will happen when they ration our economic inputs. We'll have so much useless money sloshing around that we won't care if they steal ever more of it in tax because we can't spend it anyway.

There's a hell of a difference in saying that we are under attack from the Nazis, as the bombs are falling and "we need rationing to head off global warming", when the snow is falling. Yeah, yeah, 'weather is not climate', unless it suits your agenda.
