In the comments were links to a very interesting documentary from a decade ago that debunked the 4 pillars of Global Warmism. In all they last about thirty minutes and make for very interesting viewing, Piers Corbyn is one of those interviewed at the time.

Loyal readers will be pleased to know that I have already ventured out into the car-less wonderland to garner precious supplies of fags & booze sufficient to last a few days and cleared most of nearly a fucking foot of snow off my car in readiness for the next time I might be able to use it.

Hello from snow country where we do understand your plight. Where we have an advantage of our road department believing in snow and the fact it does snow quite often. There for, more often than not, the street is usually cleared before my driveway. That is the case this morning. Since my retirement from the telephone company, I no longer feel a need to rush out there before daylight and clear the driveway so I can get to work. I believe we received 6 inches over night ... damn we came in second to Banned.
Hurray for Banned, fags, booze, and inches!
Hey Woodie, ta for the encouragement from snowey land. I has a precurser of this the other day when driving by a junior high school. Three or four boys flung theirselves at the six foot anti-pedo railings as if chasing an escaped cricket ball but instead: "thhwack!" a snowball landed on my passenger seat. I like to drive around with my windows open; dunno if they spotted that or just chucked a snowball at random, going through my open window being a bonus.
After a brief Christmas Gringe moment I decided that they were just having fun and anyway I have heated leather seats so no harm done.
Cheers Banned,
I love your idea of supplies! Thus far here in the Detroit area we have had it pretty easy as to snow but can say to you i feel your pain, been there done that.
Stay safe and warm and keep those supplies fully stocked!
I stocked up on Xmas lager yesterday at Sainsbury's. Bloody fantastic value, 15 tins @ 440 ml (I can't be bothered converting to fl oz, I'm afraid) for £14. So I bought 90.
I don't want to stock up on tobacco because it dries out so quickly.
Hi Banned! I'm glad you safely got your supplies. We are starting to get alot of snow tonight. It might be ten inches by the time I wake up.
I saw all the trouble on the news in the UK, I think your Day after tomorrow poster is very fitting.
Hope it doesn't get that bad out here, I have to go
out for errands tomorrow.
Stay inside and enjoy all your goodies.
Merry Christmas, and don't play in yellow snow.
Hi banned:
No snow in my neck of the woods, thank goodness. Stay warm, enjoy your supplies and have a Merry Christmas & a Happy, Healthy 2011.
Hi Chris, obviously I got food and milk in as well, elbowing panic buyers with their six packs of bread out of the way.
Mark, driving to Sainsbury was out of the question and I didn't fancy trudging through the snowy park to Tesco so had to make do with the nearby Co-op.
Hi Bunni, thanks for passing by! It hasn't snowed any more but it's not melting either. Only a single car has moved in my street so it looks like the Xmas shutdown has started early.
Hiya Conservative Lady, I hope you stay snowlessl it looks pretty but is darned inconvenient.
I bet Mrs Banned, wishes you could do that with your wrinkled old cock.
Mrs Banned has always been happy with the inchage provided to date thank you DL.
ps I am venturing out in my car this Weds morning, wish me well.
Global warming is going to bury us all in ice
I wouldn't put too much faith in Piers Corbyn if I were you. His forecast of an extremely harsh and snowy January didn't materialise, and so far February hasn't lived up to his dire predictions either (http://www.weatheraction.com/displayarticle.asp?a=290&c=5).
Back in October he said this - "He said the recent Positive Weather Solutions forecast of a coming cold winter should be ignored
absolutely" (http://www.weatheraction.com/docs/WANews10No33.pdf). He's much better at slagging off other forecasters than the actual forecasting.
