This is the same Royal Society that blamed the recent Eyælfückingkillyoüåll Ash Cloud farce on we, the people, for causing man-made global warming, as it used to be called.

Three Civil Enforcement Officers have resigned after being ordered to issue illegal parking tickets to raise cash for Exeter City Council (Devon, England).



"An employment tribunal heard claims on Monday that wardens in Exeter were told to issue unlawful tickets in areas of Exeter where lines and signs were ambiguous or did not comply with traffic regulations."
Bent Council corrupts and intimidates its own staff

Council policy was to cancel any tickets that were questioned by the recipients (10% of 3,000) because they knew they were wrong in the first place but, of course, most people simply pay up.
The three who resigned had initially been trained by the Police as proper Traffic Wardens but were reasigned to the Council when it took over responsibility for parking issues.
