Thing about Nostradamus and his supposed visions is that it is all well and good being clever in retrospect. I know that his 'visions' were of the future but what happens is that something big and bad occurs like WW2 or 9/11 or the souffle does not rise and then the usual pundits scour his quatrains for something that vaguely fits the bill and declare how clever Nostradamus must have been, and, by extension, themselves for having spotted it.
So how about
"The Third World War, which will last three years and seven months will occur with an invasion (of Europe) by a combined army of Russians and Moslems The ungodly alliance of Marxist and Mohammedan will succeed where Hitler failed".
That appeared in the Sunday Telegraph (21st Aug) in their "In this paper thirty Years ago" snip.
We may not be that much worried about Russians now and we were not the least bit worried about Moslems then.
But we are worried about Marxists, albeit internal traitors, hiding behind whatever labels and Extremist Moslems (as very distinct from devout Moslems) intent upon our demise.

I don't think I have ever read the same prediction twice with every new edition... except perhaps, something nasty happening to Cornwall... Although, worryingly, I distinctly remember reading a translation in the early seventies, that predicted during the end-days, the Anti-Christ traveling from Libya to Italy, by submarine, to attend a peace summit... Remember... you heard it here first!
I would not brush off the Russians just yet with Putin running the show there.
As to a WW III lasting only 3 years and 7 months, was that wishful thinking or what on the papers part?

Hi Harry and welcome. I used to be quite interested in Nostradamus until I realised how many of his 'predictions' were just as I described in my main post. I daresy the Telegraph piece comes within "give a thousand monkeys a typewriter and..."
Hi Chris, I would never brush off the Russians, we have unfinished business from the Crimea to deal with.
The "three years and seven months" thing is a quote from Nostrodamus by the Telegraph.
Everyone can leave a guess as to what's going to happen down the road, and it's NOT good.
Even the Bible says that China and Russia are going to have big wars. They are named per say, but we can figure it out.

I put little stock in the guys predictions. But there will be a WWIII---thats for sure and "me thinks" it will begin in the Middle East with Israel being the target of extreme Islamics and before that tiny state lets itself being overrun by the islamic masses the nukes will be set loose against the capitals of whatever nations are so foolishly involved---WWIII in spades!!!
I reckon Nostrilsdames'r'us only had it partly right WW3 has already started...that happened when 'muslims' went russhin into large American buildings (whether voluntarily or handcuffed to the seats)on board planes. He was well out on the 3 1/2 years its going to be more like 35 years as the War slowly eats like a cancer around all the states of the world that have any sort of resources and no protection (nukes or friends with nukes)
